Q: How do I check my order status?
A: You can sign in to the account you created at AEP Ohio’s Smart Thermostat Marketplace to check the status of your order. A confirmation email will be sent with the shipment tracking number after your order has shipped. Please expect 1-3 weeks from order placement for delivery, primarily through FedEx Ground. For any questions regarding returns or shipping please call 855-214-9190.

Q: How do I process my return or exchange?

Q: What happens if there was a problem with my delivery?
A: Orders must be inspected by customers within (2) business days from delivery date. Delivery date is determined by the date associated with the shipment tracking number. If an order has arrived damaged, please Contact Us within (2) business days of delivery date. Some items, such as smart thermostats, will need to be returned to AM Conservation prior to a replacement being sent. AM Conservation will notify you if any of the damaged items need to be returned and will send you a prepaid return shipping label to do so. Following return receipt, AM Conservation will send your replacement(s) at no cost.

Q: What payment methods can I use?
A: You may securely checkout using all major credit cards and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

Q: What is the Power Rewards: Smart Thermostat program?
A: The AEP Ohio Power Rewards: Smart Thermostat program is a residential demand response program designed to reduce electricity demand associated with cooling or heating your home during peak periods or when the distribution grid is constrained. By participating in energy conservation events, you can help AEP Ohio manage these peaks by reducing your central air conditioner runtime to cool your home. This eases the strain on the electrical grid when we need it the most. Your effort to conserve energy helps keep rates low, provide reliable electricity, and reduce the need for additional power plants, which helps preserve the environment!

A smart thermostat allows you to control the temperature in your home from anywhere at any time. The program uses Amazon, ecobee, Honeywell, Nest and Sensi smart thermostats, which provide you access to a smart thermostat, a mobile app to remotely control your thermostat and a web portal where you can see more detailed data on HVAC system energy usage and run times. 

Q: How can I receive the instant $75 rebate on the purchase of my smart thermostat?
A: AEP Ohio residential customers are eligible to receive an instant $75 rebate on the purchase of a qualified smart thermostat when they enroll the device in the Power Rewards: Smart Thermostat program. To enroll, please check the box next to “1 x Enroll in Power Rewards: Smart Thermostat” before adding the product to your cart.

Q: When will Power Rewards: Smart Thermostat participants receive their annual participation incentive?
A: Customers participating in at least 75% of events called throughout the year will receive an annual $25 participation incentive. Participation incentives are typically distributed in October to the email address associated to your thermostat.
