HVAC Compatibility
Works with most 24VAC HVAC equipment, including conventional furnaces and air conditioners (2H/2C), heat pumps (2H/2C + 2 stage AUX heat), boilers, and PTACs or fan coil units with up to 3 fan speeds. One 1-wire accessory or one 2-wire accessory support for humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and ventilators (HRV/ERV).

Installation
ecobee thermostats are powered by a dedicated 24VAC power supply using a Common wire (or C wire) for consistent performance, even in the coldest weather. The included Power Extender Kit allows for installation in most homes without a C wire.
