RI Energy Marketplace Sign-Up Process

 

  1. Select create an account in the top right hand corner of the site.

       2. Fill out general information fields on the create new customer account page. This information should include information about the address you are ordering for. Once complete hit continue.

 

  1. The site is going to prompt you to link your utility account to the marketplace account. If you have details ready click yes to proceed. If you do not have your details and need to come back to this later, please select no. Note that if you select no, you will no longer see Rhode Island Energy rebates upon login. Each time you log in thereafter, the site will continue to prompt for your utility account details.

  1. Enter your Rhode Island energy electric account number and service address zip code and hit continue.

  1. Enter your Rhode Island Energy natural gas account number and service address zip code. If you do not have natural gas service with Rhode Island Energy, select continue without validating.

  1. The site will prompt you with questions about your service address and hit save. Please answer accurately as these can affect program or rebate eligibility.

        7. Congrats! You have finished registering for the site and can now check out and receive Rhode Island Energy exclusive rebates and discounts during check out.

 

Troubleshooting / FAQs

  1. Help! I am not seeing any rebates in my cart.
    1. Please verify that you are logged in to the site and/or have created an account.

 

  1. I have created an account and I’m still not seeing rebates in my cart.
    1. Please verify that you linked your utility account(s) during the registration process. If you did not link the account or hit ‘no’ to adding your account, you can add it later on by selecting ‘Account’ and then ‘My Account’ in the top bar of the site.
    2. Navigate to ‘my linked utility accounts’ and verify details are correct. If you did not add an account before you can do so now by selecting ‘Add Linked Utility Account’. You can enter either gas or electric account details on this screen.

      3. The site will not recognize my utility account number.

    1. Please verify that your account number and service zip code matches what is on your bill and try again.

 

  1. I have verified my information is correct and the site still will not accept my utility information.
    1. Contact us here or at customerservice@efi.org. Provide your name, address, and a copy of your most recent utility bill (email inquiries only) and our contact center team will research and get back to you shortly.

 

  1. I moved to Rhode Island last week and cannot link my account with the marketplace. Why not?
    1. It can take up to 30 days from your move-in date for the marketplace to have your information associated with it. We would recommend to try again after you have received your first bill from Rhode Island Energy.

 

  1. I am a commercial customer and the site will not accept my information. Why not?
    1. At this time this marketplace is only for residential customers. Please go here to see about our available programs for commercial customers.

 

  1. I have a second home in Florida and I’d like to ship my products there but the site will not let me add a Florida shipping address.
    1. Since items are required to be installed at your service address, at this time, we do not allow orders to be shipped outside of Rhode Island.

 

  1. My order is only $10, why am I being charged $10 in tax?
    1. As the Rhode Island Energy rebate is a post-purchase rebate, your tax is calculated prior to any incentives being honored.
