Evolve's Auto-Diverting Tub Spout System has integrated ShowerStart technology, allowing you to effortlessly save the hot water and energy that’s used while waiting for your shower to get warm.
As soon as you turn your water on, a Thermostatic Shut-Off Valve (TSV) starts monitoring your water. When it gets warm, it automatically diverts the warm water up from the spout towards your showerhead, slowing the flow to a trickle to conserve water. Simply pull the cord to start your shower when you are ready.
Evolve's Auto-Diverting Tub Spout System includes the tub spout with built-in ShowerStart (thermostatic shut-off valve, or TSV) and a water-conserving, fixed mount 1.5 GPM showerhead.
Don't be fooled by "water-conserving" - this showerhead has 54 anti-clog spray nozzles, a powerful full-body spray pattern, and pressure compensating technology to ensure maximum water coverage and a great shower.
As soon as you turn your water on, the tub spout begins to monitor your water temperature. When it gets warm, it diverts the warm water up towards the shower head and keeps it there until you are ready to shower. It can be used with the showerhead in this manner or on its own for baths. To override the auto-diverting feature, simply push the lever on the spout.
Countless gallons of hot water are unintentionally wasted at the start of every shower. This is because while waiting for the shower to get warm, people often leave to do something such as brush their teeth or go pick out their clothes.
Evolve's ShowerStart (TSV) is a simple device that eliminates this problem. It allows you to effortlessly save the hot water and energy that’s used while waiting for your shower to get warm. It also lets you know when your shower is warm and ready.
How does it work? It's simple:
1. Turn on Your Hot WaterTurn on the water in the tub and do all the things you would normally do while waiting for cold water to exit the spout.
2. Auto-Divert Kicks InWhile you're brushing your teeth or making coffee, the TSV starts monitoring your water temperature. When it reaches 95 degrees Fahrenheit, it automatically diverts the flow from the spout up towards the showerhead. The showerhead begins a slow trickle to save water.
3. The shower is Ready - Just Pull the CordYou know the shower is ready because you can hear it's just trickling. When you are ready to get in, just pull the cord to resume full shower flow.
Not wasting gallons of hot water at the beginning of every shower or bath means your hot water will last longer, saving you money on your energy bill.
Because the system warms your shower by first running water through the tub spout, you’ll greatly reduce warm-up waits. Not only will your hot water arrive up to 2X faster, but the increased velocity actually decreases the volume of cold water that must be purged before hot water arrives – by up to 50%.
The Evolve Tub Spout System can not be used in bathrooms with wall-mounted diverters or in homes with water pressure lower than 30 PSI.
The Shower Head can be attached to any shower arm with industry-standard half-inch fittings. The convenient, reachable pull-cord means you can even use it in showers for children, seniors, or people with disabilities.
